DURHAM, N.C. – With a quick turnaround from two matches on Saturday, Duke men's tennis is set to host the Elon Phoenix on Monday, Jan. 20 at 1 p.m. in the Sheffield Tennis Center.

The Blue Devils have jumped out to an early 3-0 start in spring action with wins against Hawai'i, UNCW and North Carolina A&T.

HISTORY WITH ELON
Over the years, Duke and Elon have met 14 times with all matches taking place in Durham as the Blue Devils hold the 13-1 all-time series record. The Blue Devils and Phoenix last met on Jan. 12, 2019 in Sheffield where Duke edged Elon with a 4-3 win with a three-set victory on court one from
Nick Stachowiak.

SCOUTING THE PHOENIX
The Phoenix are coming off a 7-0 season-opening loss to #23 NC State on Saturday, Jan. 11. During the 2018-19 campaign, Elon garnered a 21-5 record and won its first Colonial Athletic Association title by defeating the reigning champions, UNCW. Of Elon's nine-man roster, four are freshmen after graduating four seniors last year.

HOME OPENER SUCCESS
Duke rolled through its home-opening doubleheader on Saturday, picking up two 6-1 victories over UNCW and North Carolina A&T. Nearly every Blue Devil saw action between the two matches with freshman
Omni Kumar earning the first win of his dual season career.
Luca Keist had a strong performance, picking up two doubles victories and two singles wins on courts one and two.

DOMINANT DOUBLES
In its first doubles action of the dual season, Duke claimed the doubles point in both matches on Saturday, only giving up three points in the win over North Carolina A&T.
Spencer Furman and Keist teamed up, going 2-for-2 on the day at No. 1 doubles.
