DUKE VS. FLORIDA STATE...
Duke will look to snap a three-game losing streak to Florida State as the Blue Devils and Seminoles meet Friday in the ACC Championship semifinals. The Seminoles currently lead the overall series, 15-10-6.
In matches played in the ACC Tournament, the Blue Devils are 0-4-1. Duke and FSU have played three times in Cary, N.C., and are 1-2. The lone victory came on Dec. 4, 2015 in the NCAA College Cup as Duke upset top-seeded Florida State, 2-0, to advance to the NCAA Championship.
Robbie Church owns a 5-15-5 record against Florida State.
DUKE IN THE ACC TOURNAMENT...
Duke entered the ACC Tournament for the fifth season in a row and 31st time across the last 33 seasons. The Blue Devils own an all-time record of 15-29-3 across their match ups in the tournament and have advanced to the championship game five times (1992-94, 2000, 2017). Most recently, Duke earned the six seed a season ago, falling to Virginia on the road, 0-1, in the 2019 quarterfinals.
The Blue Devils are making their 15th appearance in the ACC Tournament semifinals and looking to make their sixth finals appearance. Duke is looking for its first ACC Championship in school history. The Blue Devils and Seminoles have never met past the quarterfinals in the tournament.
Duke's 15 ACC semifinals appearances ranks fourth in the league -- North Carolina (31), Virginia (22), Florida State (16) and Duke (15).
Prior to Duke's 1-0 win over fourth-seeded Clemson Tuesday, the Blue Devils had been held scoreless in their last three ACC Tournament matches as Duke dropped 1-0 decisions to Virginia, Florida State and North Carolina.

HEADING BACK TO CARY, N.C...
Duke is playing in Cary, N.C., and WakeMed Soccer Park for the first time since the Blue Devils competed in the NCAA College Cup in 2015. The Blue Devils collected one of their biggest victories in school history in the semifinals with a 2-0 win over second-ranked and top-seeded Florida State. Kayla McCoy and Toni Payne scored goals to lift the Blue Devils to the championship game appearance.
Duke would go on to fall in the NCAA Championship, 1-0, to Penn State.
Overall, Duke holds a 5-11 record in matches played at WakeMed Soccer Park.
WHAT HAPPENED IN THE LAST MEETING...
Just 15 days ago, Duke and Florida State met in Tallahassee, Fla., with the Blue Devils dropping a heartbreaker to the Seminoles, 1-0, on Oct. 29. FSU scored with only 14 seconds remaining off a corner kick to notch the victory. The Seminoles outshot Duke, 19-4, in the match, including a 12-1 advantage in the second half.
PASCHALL COLLECTS GAME-WINNER...
Senior
Karlie Paschall found the perfect time to score her first goal since 2018 as she connected on her seventh career tally in the 51st minute Tuesday to push Duke into the ACC Tournament semifinals with a 1-0 victory over fifth-ranked Clemson. She came off the bench in the contest and played 60 minutes, while attempting a team-high four shots.
Paschall played mostly on defense as a junior, but moved up front in 2020. She scored four goals and five assists as a sophomore as she started all 19 contests.
In 2020, Paschall has started three of 12 matches and collected four assists and one goal for six points.
250 WINS FOR CHURCH...

Robbie Church reached 250 wins at Duke in the Blue Devils regular season finale against Miami. Church is in his 20th season at Duke.
FIRST HALF DEFENSE...
The Blue Devils have allowed only three goals in the first half, which ranks tied for third in the ACC. North Carolina leads the way with one allowed, while FSU (2), Duke (3), Clemson (3), Louisville (4) and Notre Dame (4) round out the top six teams.
SCORING WOES IN FIRST HALF...
Duke has struggled scoring goals in the first half and have totaled only seven tallies in the first half this season. Three of those goals came at Syracuse and two at Miami. In the other 10 matches, the Blue Devils have scored only two first half goals.
In comparing the ACC, North Carolina and Virginia lead the way with 12 first half goals, while Florida State (11), Pittsburgh (10), Virginia Tech (9), Duke (7), Clemson (6), Notre Dame (6), Louisville (6), Boston College (4),Syracuse (4), Wake Forest (3), Miami (1) round out the league.

• The Blue Devils are 7-0-0 on the season when scoring first and 0-3-1 when the opponent scores first. Duke is also 4-0 when leading at the half.
• Since 2015, Duke is 16-5-1 in matches played in the month of November.
• Duke's three losses on the season have come to No. 1 North Carolina (twice) and No. 2 Florida State.

TOUGH SLATE...
For only the second time in school history, Duke faced the top two teams in the nation in back-to-back contests as the Blue Devils faced top-ranked North Carolina and second-ranked Florida State.
The last time it happened was in the 1998 campaign under head coach Bill Hempen as Duke faced No. 2 Santa Clara and No. 1 North Carolina in back-to-back games.
TOUGH DEFENSE...
Duke's defense has allowed only five goals over its last 10 matches and three of the five tallies came against top-ranked North Carolina. The Blue Devils now own six shutouts on the season, which ranks third in the ACC.
