GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Duke women's swimming and diving and the men's diving team completed the first day of the ACC Championships Wednesday evening at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.

Shayna Hollander timed a 1:37.79 in the 200 medley relay to kick off the conference meet in the pool. Their time placed sixth at the meet and was the fifth-fastest in school history.

Following that performance, Duke's 800 freestyle relay team of senior
Quinn Scannell, Foley, sophomore
Olivia Tighe and senior
Carly Perri placed fifth in the event with a time of 7:10.46. Their time placed fourth all-time at Duke in the event.

Earlier in the day, the Duke diving teams competed in the women's three-meter and men's one-meter. Sophomore
Ali Watson was the top performer for the women, placing ninth (287.85). On the men's side, freshman
Seamus Harding Jr. led the way in his first conference meet with a score of 302.95.

The Blue Devils will next compete in the women's one-meter diving final and the men's three-meter diving, 500 freestyle, 200 individual medley, 50 freestyle and 200 freestyle relay on Thursday at the championships. The evening action will begin at 7 p.m., at the GAC in Greensboro, N.C.
