TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 23-ranked Duke women's cross country team finished third in the team standings, while the men took sixth at the FSU Winter XC Classic Friday morning in Tallahassee, Fla.
In the men's 8K race that got the day started, junior
Chris Theodore posted his second consecutive finish of under 24 minutes, coming in at 23:51.0 to lead the Blue Devils and place 13th overall. Senior
CJ Ambrosio followed at 25th overall with a time of 24:11.0. Fellow senior
Josh Romine came in at 36th, clocking 24:17.1. Freshman
Jared Kreis (24:36.0, 60th), senior
Alex Miley (24:40.0, 63rd), sophomore
Zach Kinne (24:46.1, 66th) and senior
Paul Dellinger (25:56.3, 120th) rounded out the group. The results yielded 190 points, good for sixth in the 20-team field.

Michaela Reinhart paced the Duke women for the third time this season, recording a 6K time of 20:44.0 to take 20th overall. Senior
Amanda Beach's time of 20:53.5 was good for 26th, while junior
Sara Platek (20:53.8), sophomore
Samantha Schadler (20:58.5) and freshman
Victoria Patterson (20:59.7) finished 28th, 29th and 30th, respectively. Freshman
Charlotte Tomkinson followed with a 46th-place time of 21:24.8, and sophomore
Caroline Howley came in at 22:06.1 for 89th in the field. With 128 team points, the Blue Devils finished third out of 18 teams.
The Blue Devils now shift their attention to the NCAA Cross Country Championships, which are slated for Monday, March 15 in Stillwater, Okla.
