Three-Time ACC Rookie of the Week Fills It Up
- Freshman Kyle Filipowski has been named the ACC Rookie of the Week for the third time in as many weeks this season. The freshman has scored in double figures every game of his college career and is leading the Blue Devils in scoring (15.4) and rebounding (9.4)
- Over the last 10 seasons, Duke is the only program in the ACC to have a player named Rookie of the Week in three consecutive weeks -- Filipowski, Paolo Banchero in 2021-22, Jahlil Okafor twice in 2014-15 and Jabari Parker twice in 2013-14. In that time, Duke has had an ACC Rookie of the Week in 77 of a possible 156 weeks (49%). Twenty-two different Blue Devils have won the award at least once in that time.

- With four double-doubles this season, he's tied for fourth nationally. He has more total rebounds than any freshman in the nation.
- Not your typical back-to-the-basket big man, the 7-foot Filipowski's 12 made three-pointers are tied for the team lead with Roach and his .364 three-point percentage is second on the team. Filipowski's 10 steals are second on the team to Roach's 12.
- In KenPom's formula to determine the nation's best player, Filipowski ranks seventh (as of Nov. 28). He and Arizona's Brandon Miller are the only freshman in the top 10.
