DURHAM – The Duke fencing team is set to travel to Penn State for the Garret Penn State Open Nov. 5-6 in the White Building.
Action commences at 8:30 a.m., on both days. Saturday is dedicated to the women's events, with the men's events to follow on Sunday.

IN THE POLLS
Both the Blue Devil men and women open the season ranked in the preseason poll by the United States Fencing Coaches' Association (USFCA).
The men check in at No. 7 in the nation while the women are tabbed at No. 10. 2022 reigning NCAA Champion Notre Dame took the top spot in the men's poll, followed by No. 2 Columbia and No. 3 Ohio State. No. 1 Princeton, No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 3 Columbia make up the women's top three.
2022 SUCCESS
The Blue Devils are coming off a successful 2021-22 season and looks to carry that momentum with them.
Spearheaded by a quartet of elected captains in
Christina Ferrari,
Finn Hossfeld,
Terence Lee and
Zsofia Walter, Beguinet's squad returns six of last year's seven NCAA qualifiers and all six ACC individual medalists.
