The Opening Faceoff
- The ninth-ranked Blue Devils start a four-game road swing Saturday at Loyola. The game in Baltimore is the second true road contest for Duke. The Blue Devils are 1-1 away from Koskinen Stadium this season.
- Loyola enters Saturday's contest with a 1-4 overall record after defeating Lafayette, 14-12, last weekend. The Greyhounds' three losses are against Maryland (20-8), Johns Hopkins (11-10), Rutgers (13-12) and Towson (11-8).

- Defensively, Kenny Brower draws the opponent's top attackman and has 10 caused turnovers and 25 ground balls. Wilson Stephenson has 14 caused turnovers and 16 GBs, while Tyler Carpenter has 11 and 37, respectively.
- In goal, Mike Adler has been solid, averaging 12.56 saves per game and sporting a .546 save percentage. He most recently made a career-high 20 saves in the win over Richmond.

Scouting Loyola
- Loyola is 1-4 overall this year with setbacks to No. 1 Maryland (20-8), No. 3 Rutgers (13-12), No. 19 Johns Hopkins (11-1) and Towson (11-8). The Greyhounds put one in the win column last Saturday, beating Lafayette, 14-12.
- The Greyhounds average 10.40 goals per game and are led by Aidan Olmstead with nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points. Adam Poitras and Joey Kamish both have 13 points. Loyola's scoring average ranks 50th nationally.
- Payton Rezanka is the top takeaway artist with 10 caused turnovers and 11 ground balls. He's also contributed three goals. Cam Wyers and Matt Hughes anchor the close defense with seven and six caused turnovers.
- The Greyhounds have had three different starting goaltenders. Sam Shafer has started three of his four games and has a 13.77 goals against average and a .377 save percentage. Luke Staudt and Colton Teitelbaum also have a start apiece.

Joe Robertson
- Robertson needs just five points to become the 14th Duke player to reach 200 career points. Justin Guterding '18 was the last Blue Devil to reach the benchmark and only eight have done so since 2005. Robertson also needs just 12 goals to become the ninth Blue Devil to score 150 in his career.
Mike Adler
- Adler leads all active goalies in saves (701) and minutes played with 3,417. He is 31 saves shy of moving into the top 25 on the NCAA all-time saves list. Only four goalies who have competed in the 21st century are in the top 25 on the NCAA career chart. He needs 15 minutes to move into a tie for 25th in NCAA Division I history and 238 to break into the top 10.
Brennan O'Neill
- Sophomore Brennan O'Neill owns 84 points (67g, 17a) in 26 games. He needs 16 to reach the century mark in his Duke career.
Dyson Williams
- With 34 points after four games, Dyson Williams pushed his career total to 89 in 32 career games. He needs 11 more points to reach the 100-point plateau. He had 30 points in eight games as a rookie and 25 in 15 games last year.
