Opponent History
Duke vs. Pittsburgh – Duke leads, 5-3
The two sides have had a tight series in the brief history, with the Blue Devils gaining the all-time advantage via two run rule wins in 2021. The Blue Devils have found most of their success at home, going 4-1 and scoring a combined 20 runs over their last two games against the Panthers. In the last meeting between the two teams, Foreman drove in two runs, to lead Duke to an 11-3 win in a five inning affair on February 20, 2021.
Scouting The Opponent
Pittsburgh: The Panthers enter the weekend at 14-24, sitting at 2-17 in the ACC. The ACC Tournament hosts have lost 14 of their last 15 ACC games, following a win over then No. 3 Florida State on Mar. 6. However, one of the biggest bright spots on the young Panthers team is redshirt freshman pitcher Dani Drogemuller, who has hit the ground running this season, going 8-11 with a 3.35 ERA, tallying 11 complete games over a very difficult schedule. Yvonne Whaley continues to lead the team in hits, batting .344, while Cami Compson has hit seven home runs and owns 22 RBI to pace the offense.
