DURHAM – Duke Baseball opens the 2023 season on Friday, Feb. 17, hosting the Saint Joseph's Hawks for a three-game series at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Blue Devils finished the 2022 campaign with a 22-32 record and 10-20 in league play.

- Duke Baseball heads into the 2023 season welcoming a class that comprises of 19 new faces - 12 freshman signees and seven collegiate transfers. The class features five freshmen in the top-500 by Perfect Game and two impact transfers by D1Baseball in Jay Beshears and Josh Solomon.
- One win separates the Blue Devils from a program milestone that only a handful of Division I baseball teams have accomplished. The next Duke victory moves the Blue Devils to 2,200 all-time wins.
- Sophomore left-hander Jonathan Santucci earns the opening day nod for Duke in 2023, after breaking into the rotation late in the 2022 season. In his seven games started, Santucci was 2-3 on the mound, posting a 4.17 ERA in 41.0 innings pitched. He struck out 58 batters and opponents were batting .211 off the lefty.
- Three Blue Devils appeared on Perfect Game USA's top-100 sophomores list earlier this preseason, joining three freshman who were named to their class list. Alex Mooney (No. 16), Santucci (No. 21) and Fran Oschell III (No. 96) all were tabbed by the organization as top of their class.
- The Blue Devils open the 2023 baseball season with seven ranked opponents on the schedule, including Super Regional hosts No. 11 East Carolina, No. 12 North Carolina and No. 14 Virginia Tech. Duke begins the 2023 campaign with six of the 10 ACC conference series' being against ranked opponents.
