Gameday Details
- Duke and Saint Joseph's face off Saturday, March 25 at 12 p.m., at Sweeney Field. There is no charge for admission to the game. The contest will be streamed on ESPN+ via the ESPN app. Fans must have a subscription to the ESPN+ service.
The Opening Faceoff
- Duke, 8-1 on the year, is ranked fourth nationally and has won six straight. The Blue Devils are opening a three-game road swing through three different states.
- Saint Joseph's enters the weekend contest with a 4-3 overall mark and a No. 20 ranking by USA Lacrosse Magazine. The Hawks have yet to play a conference matchup and have setbacks to Drexel, Penn and Johns Hopkins by a total of four goals.
- The attack unit of Andrew McAdorey, Brennan O'Neill and Dyson Williams have paced the Blue Devils. The trio has combined for 115 of the team's 219 points with all three having at least 33 points to their names. Duke has gotten goals from 21 different players this season.
- Duke's defense has been solid, holding teams to just .268 shooting and to 9.83 goals per game. The Blue Devils have allowed seven man-up goals on 33 man-down situations for a .788 success rate.
- Graduate student transfer William Helm is solid in the cage, averaging 10.89 saves per game and sporting a .547 save percentage.
- Junior faceoff specialist Jake Naso features a .656 win percentage at the dot to rank fourth nationally. He is tied for the most faceoffs taken of any draw man in the country (227). Saint Joseph's draw man Zach Cole leads the country with a .696 win percentage (144-of-207). He also is the active leader in wins at 931.

About Saint Joseph's
- Saint Joseph's continues its non-conference schedule with the Blue Devils Saturday. The Hawks are 4-3 overall on the season and ranked 20th in the USA Lacrosse Magazine poll. Their three setbacks have come by a total of four goals to Johns Hopkins (15-14), Penn (13-12 OT) and Drexel (18-16).
- Levi Anderson paces the high-powered offense with a team-high 23 goals and 31 points. Matt Bohmer has 23 points and Carter Page rounds out the top three with 20 points. The Hawks are averaging 15.71 goals per game to rank fourth nationally and shooting .336.
- Defensively, Saint Joseph's is allowing 11.43 goals per game, holding two of the seven opponents to under 10 goals. Patrick Clemens is the leader around the crease with six caused turnovers and 11 ground balls. Hawk opponents are averaging nearly 19 turnovers per game.
- Zach Cole is the undisputed leader at the faceoff dot, taking all but eight restarts. He sports a nation's-best .696 win percentage and has picked up 99 ground balls on 144 victories. He also has three goals and two assists. In goal, it has been Scott Macmillan and Robbie Seeley splitting duties. Both have three starts apiece. Tommy Gross started the most recent game against St. John's, playing 40 minutes and allowing eight goals. Seeley has a 13.54 GAA and Macmillan is at 8.88 goals allowed per game.
Series History
- Duke and Saint Joseph's have met just twice with the last time being in 2017, a 16-3 Blue Devil victory. The first two games were decided by 14 and 13 goals, respectively. This is the Blue Devils' first trip to Sweeney Field on the campus of Saint Joseph's.

- Saturday's contest between Duke and Saint Joseph's features a host of interesting matchups. Perhaps the most intriguing is the one at the faceoff dot between Saint Joseph's graduate student Zach Cole and Blue Devil junior Jake Naso. They rank first and fourth nationally in win percentage and first and fifth in ground balls per game.
- Both squads enter the contest with high-powered offenses. Duke is averaging 15.89 goals per game, while Saint Joseph's is right behind at 15.71. The Hawks and Blue Devils both have scored at least 12 goals in every game they've played. Duke has reached the 15-goal benchmark five times in nine outings and SJU has done in five of its seven contests.
- Duke on the defensive end of the field has not allowed more than nine goals in the past three games and has held five of the nine opponents to single digits this season. The Blue Devils have allowed three of their nine opponents to shot better than 30 percent in a game this season.
