DURHAM – The Duke fourth-ranked men's and women's soccer programs held a media availability on Wednesday afternoon with members of the local media as the Blue Devils prepare for the opening of the 2023 season.

The men's program is coming off an undefeated regular season, an ACC Coastal Division crown and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals en route to a 13-2-4 overall record. Duke returns several key starters from last year's squad while also adding key freshmen, international signings and collegiate transfers. The Blue Devils open the regular season Friday, Aug. 25 at 7:30 p.m., against Jacksonville.
The women's program returns five starters and 15 letterwinners off its squad that posted a 15-5-3 ledger and advanced to the third straight NCAA Tournament quarterfinal. The Blue Devils welcome 11 newcomers, which was tabbed the No. 6 ranked incoming class in the nation. Duke opens the 2023 campaign Thursday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m., versus West Virginia inside Koskinen Stadium.
