NEED TO KNOW
• The 16th-ranked Duke women's soccer team remains at home Sunday, Sept. 24 as the Blue Devils (5-3-0, 1-1-0 ACC) host NC State (1-5-4, 0-1-1) at 6 p.m., inside Koskinen Stadium.
• Following the match, the Blue Devils will sign autographs for all fans in attendance. It will also mark Pride night at the stadium.
• Sunday's match versus the Wolfpack will be aired live on ACC Network Extra with Evan Budrovich (PXP) and Matt Stradley (Analyst) calling the action.
• Duke has totaled eight goals in the first half this season and has scored at least one goal in the first half in each of the five home matches in 2023.
• Duke is in a tough stretch facing five ranked opponents over a span of six matches. Following the match against NC State, the Blue Devils go up against four straight ranked foes.
• Over the last two seasons, Duke has lost six student-athletes that have gone on to play in the NWSL.
• Duke welcomed 11 newcomers to the 2023 roster as head coach

STORYLINES/OTHER BLUE DEVIL NOTES
• The Blue Devils are looking for their 250th all-time win at home at Koskinen Stadium.

Kat Rader leads Duke with five goals on the season and she owns 17 over her short career.
• In both of Duke's home losses to 24th-ranked Southern California and 10th-ranked Notre Dame, the Blue Devils opened the match with a 1-0 lead.

Carina Lageyre posted her first two collegiate goals at Boston College in the ACC opener. She went on to be named ACC Offensive Player of the Week as Duke won 2-0 on the road.
• Lageyre's goal at the 2:51 mark of the first half was the quickest goal Duke has scored this season. It is the fifth-quickest goal in the ACC this season (Virginia at 0:50 vs. Radford; Virginia at 0:55 vs. VCU; and Clemson at 1:35 vs. Gardner-Webb).
• Since allowing four goals at Stanford, the Blue Devils posted three straight shutouts, but had its span of 371.59 minutes without allowing a goal come to an end against Notre Dame as the Irish scored two goals within in a minute and 33 seconds to defeat Duke, 2-1.

Katie Groff and
Devin Lynch have connected for two goals off corner kicks this season (West Virginia and East Carolina).
• Duke scored goals in the first half in the first three games for the first time since the 2017 season. In 2017, the Blue Devils totaled goals in the first half in each of the first seven matches. Overall, Duke has notched seven first-half goals in seven matches, while scoring only three in the second half.
• In her first two seasons, when
Kat Rader scores, the Blue Devils feature a 12-2-1 ledger. She became just the sixth Blue Devil to register goals in each of her first three matches to start a season.

THE SERIES WITH NC STATE
• Duke and NC State will meet for the 40th time in school history with the Blue Devils leading the series, 25-11-3.
• Last year, Duke turned in an impressive, 6-0, victory over the Wolfpack with

Mackenzie Pluck collecting two goals each.
• In the last meeting in Durham, NCSU registered a 2-1 victory over the fourth-ranked Blue Devils.
• In matches played in Durham, Duke holds a 10-6-2 ledger.

Robbie Church features a 19-1-2 record versus NC State.
• In the overall series, Duke has outscored NCSU by a 65-29 ledger.
SCOUTING THE WOLFPACK
• On the season NC State holds a 1-5-4 ledger and is winless over its last eight matches.
• The Wolfpack have been led by Alexis Strickland with three goals, while three other players have two tallies.
• NC State has allowed 18 goals on the season.

Olivia Migli played this summer on the NC Courage USL-W U-23 squad that advanced to the championship match. The Blue Devils played together with NC State's Briana Holt, Brooklyn Holt, Taylor Chism, and Alexis Strickland.
• Duke's
Kaeden Koons-Perdikis played with NC State's Cienna Kim at Bethesda Soccer Club for three years, before Kim moved to IMG.
• Senior Madison Reid of NC State is the sister of former Duke standout Morgan Reid, who played for the Blue Devils from 2014-17.
IN THE LAST MEETING
• On the road in Raleigh, N.C., Duke collected a 6-0 win against the Wolfpack this past September.
• The Blue Devils collected two goals in the first eight minutes and then added four more in the second half.

Michelle Cooper and
Mackenzie Pluck scored two goals each, while
Kat Rader and
Maggie Graham added one.
• Duke held a 16-2 shot advantage.
EARLIER THIS WEEK
• After leading for the first 85 minutes of the match, 16th-ranked Duke allowed two goals in a span of a minute and 33 seconds to fall, 2-1, to 10th-ranked Notre Dame on Thursday in ACC action at Koskinen Stadium.
• Notre Dame registered goals in the 86th and 87th minutes off deflections.
• Duke was able to strike first on the scoreboard at the 13:55 mark. On a give-and-go, Rader found Lageyre and then Rader sprinted towards the near post where Lageyre placed a perfect ball to Rader. She took a couple of touches and finished into the bottom right corner of the goal from 10 yards.

Emily Royson left the match at the 4:02 mark and didn't return and Duke's other center back
Baleigh Bruster also excited late in the match.
• Duke was outshot, 12-6, in the second half and 17-11 for the match. It marked only the second time this season the Blue Devils have been outshot (Stanford).
FIRST/SECOND HALF COMPARISON
• So far this season, Duke has been a different team in the first and second halves.
• In the first half, the Blue Devils have outscored opponents, 8-3 and outshot foes 50-21.
• In the second half, Duke's opponents have outscored the Blue Devils, 7-3, and has 33 shots in the period.
• The opponents have saved 18 of Duke's shots in the second half compared to only 12 in the first.

HALL OF FAME NOD
• Duke head coach
Robbie Church and his 1989 Belmont Abbey Men's Soccer Team are set to be inducted into the school's Hall of Fame on Saturday, Sept. 23.
• The team went 20-4 and was undefeated in both Conference Carolinas and District 26 regular season play, rising as high as No. 7 in the National polls.
• They also claimed the Area VIII Championship, advancing to the 12-team National Tournament Finals – the first school from North Carolina to break through qualifying since the 1966 Abbey Hall of Fame team.
• Dozens of honors followed that include: the National Coach of the Year, three All-Americans, an Academic All-American, six All-South, seven All-Conference and All-District performers as well as the two-time District & Conference Player of the Year and the National Tournament Most Valuable Player at goalkeeper.
• Their remarkable achievements on the field were instrumental in defining Belmont Abbey College as an elite soccer program.
