Quotes
"First, I want to say a big congratulations to Matt Frost and his staff. Amazing effort in his first year to take his team to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. In terms of doubles, I think we came out with a little rust or some nerves and weren't really sharp. I think they were. They came out playing extremely well. We got down in court three but then we did a good job of winning some deuce points and flipped the momentum. That helped us play better in the second half of the doubles point."– Duke head coachÂ
Ramsey Smith on his thoughts about doubles play
Â
"It's going to be huge. Connor [Krug] was fantastic. We've been working on him playing freer and releasing and going after it. He started off just a touch tight but then got it going. He just played unbelievable tennis today. It's going to be really important for us to have the bottom half of the lineup controlling matches like they did today. I liked [Alexander] Visser at six. He was at match point there at the end, but Faris [Khan] played a little too quickly and was able to clinch for us. Faris is playing the best tennis of his career right now. It's definitely going to be very important moving forward." – Duke head coachÂ
Ramsey Smith on the bottom of his lineup having an impact
Â
"They're a tough SEC team and they compete really well. They pulled out a tough match against a really good Charlotte team today. We're just going to have to make sure we're prepared and a little bit sharper. It's a win or go home deal so we're just excited for tomorrow." – Duke head coachÂ

Â
"Teddy and I have great chemistry right now. Today we started a little slow, but we raised our energy and got it done at the end." – Duke senior

Â
"It feels good. [Alexander] Visser is a rookie, so he'll have his time to clinch. I wanted to get that win today and I'm happy I was able to get it done." – Duke senior
Faris Khan on clinching the match
Â
"We'll take care of our bodies tonight and then tomorrow we'll just need to come out with great energy. Today we could have been better in that regard, especially in the beginning. We were a little flat. I think if we raise the energy, and we take it to them aggressively at the beginning, we'll make it competitive." – Duke senior
