DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke cross country team resumes competition this weekend, with the Blue Devils heading to Columbia, Missouri, to taking part in the seventh annual Gans Creek Classic set for Friday, Sept. 26 in Columbia, Missouri, at the Gans Creek Course.
A jampacked morning of racing is slated to begin with the men's Black 8K at 9:15 a.m. The women's Gold Invitational 6K (10 a.m.), men's Gold Invitational 8K (10:45 a.m.) and women's Black 6K (11:30 a.m.) are all set to follow.
MEET INFORMATION:
- The Blue Devils feature 24 student-athletes competing across the four races.
- On the men's side, Aden Bandukwala, Alberto Campa, Nick Falk, Eli Fitchen-Young, Arthur Graham, Declan McDonnell, Will Purnell, Dawson Reeves, Matt Ryan, Jack Stanley, Luke Thompson and Beck Wittstadt will take on the 8K course.
- In the women's 6K, Duke's contingent includes Jette Beermann, Poppy Craig-McFeely, Audrey DaDamio, Lucca Fulkerson, Victoria Garces, Grace Geyer, Katie Hamilton, Lindsay Hausman, Caroline Hood, Ella Johns, Olivia Mason and Stephanie Moss.
- Live results will be available at PTTiming and the meet will be streamed live on SEC Network+.
LAST TIME OUT:
- Duke kickstarted the 2025 campaign with a strong showing on the Duke Reclamation Pond course as the men's and women's teams garnered first-place finishes to post a sweep of the tri-meet with North Carolina A&T and North Carolina Central.
- The Blue Devil men claimed 11 of the top 15 placements en route to totaling 15 points on the 4K course. Duke's women's squad concluded its 3K race with 17 points while featuring five runners among the top-nine finishers.
- McDonnell, Ryan, Charlie Siebert, Stanley and Wittstadt led the charge for the Duke men as the quintet claimed the top-five placements in the men's field.
- Fulkerson, Moss and Grace Ping shined in their Duke cross country debuts with the graduate student trio staking claim to three of the top-five spots on the leaderboard.

UP NEXT:
Duke heads to western North Carolina for the Fire Tower Project Run. The meet, hosted by Appalachian State at the Don Kennedy Trails at State Farm in Boone, is slated for Friday, Oct. 3. The Blue Devils will take the starting line at 5 p.m., for the men's 8K, with the women's 6K set to follow at 5:40 p.m.
