2015-16: Began the campaign as a member of the 2V8 before shifting to the 2V4 for the Dale England Cup and then to the 3V8 for the ACC Championship … began the spring with a bang with the 2V8 for the Carolina Cup as the boat earned ACC Crew of the Week accolades after winning its race in 6:37.6, the second-fastest mark in Duke history … with the 2V8 for the Pac-12 Challenge as the boat finished second against UCLA and Stanford with times of 6:42.5 and 7:19.2 … at the Virginia Dual, with the 2V8 as it took second in 7:05.9 … turned in a standout performance at the Dale England Cup with two victories … V4 turned in times of 7:51.4 and 7:37.4 to capture both races, helping Duke finish tied for first overall with No. 14 Indiana and No. 17 Notre Dame … at the ACC Championship, helped 3V8 to first place finish in the petite final against North Carolina with a year-best time of 6:58.091 … during the fall, a member of the 2V8, 3V4 and 4V4 for the Princeton Chase and Rivanna Romp … placed 29th at the Chase with the 2V8 in 15:59.382 and 12th at the Romp in 14:07.6 … with the 3V4, came in 23rd at the Chase (18:43.288), then took 24th at the Romp (16:28.8) with the 4V4 … in the summer of 2016, was a member of the inaugural class of the Rubenstein-Bing Student-Athlete Civic Engagement (ACE) Program … traveled to Vietnam to teach academics, sports and life skills to middle school children in a summer-camp setting as part of the program.
2015: A part of the 3V8 for all three of its competitions during the year … helped unit place third in both races during opening weekend, behind Clemson’s 3V8 and the Boston lightweight 2V8 with times of 7:27.77 and 7:33.15 … part of the 3V8 for three races at the Clemson Invitational against seven ranked squads as the boat placed fifth (7:31.3), fifth (7:10.5) and fourth (7:14.1) … at the ACC Championship was a member of the 3V8 and helped the boat place fourth in its preliminary heat (7:22.0) and second in the Petite Final (7:10.8).
High School: A four-year letterwinner under head coach Paul Allbright … named to the All-Met first team and All-Madison first team as a senior … served as captain of the squad during final campaign … helped varsity 8 to a silver medal at the Virginia state meet and to a bronze medal at the Scholastic Rowing Association of America (SRAA) National Championship Regatta … received the Coaches’ Award as a junior, when varsity 8 went undefeated … helped varsity 8 to the SRAA national championship, finishing the race in 4:50.48, nearly a second faster than the second-place boat … helped varsity 8 to the program’s first title at the Stotesbury Regatta … during sophomore year, guided varsity 8 to an undefeated regular season and first-place finish at the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association (VASRA) meet … boat finished fourth at the SRAA Nationals … as a freshman, helped second varsity 8 to an undefeated regular season and first place at the VASRA meet … in addition to high school accomplishments, took part in the 2011 Junior Rowing National Team Development Camp … a member of the 2012 World Development Team in Berlin, Germany … a year later, in 2013, was invited to the Winter Junior National Team High Performance Camp … member of the National Honor Society.
