BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Duke baseball team fell to Campbell 6-3 on Tuesday night at Jim Perry Stadium in Buies Creek, N.C.

Duke took an early 3-0 lead, scoring in each of the first two innings, but struggled to plate runs beyond the second inning. The Blue Devils (19-24) matched Campbell (27-14) in hits at eight each but left 13 runners on base.Â

Chad Knight finished 2-for-4 with an RBI while classmateÂ
Graham Pauley went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. FreshmanÂ
Alex Mooney finished 2-for-4 with a walk.Â

Right-hander
 Cooper Stinson started on the bump for the Blue Devils. A native of Peachtree Corners, Ga., Stinson allowed three runs on three hits and a walk while striking out a trio of batters in 3.1 innings of work. Campbell's Cade Kuehler opposed Stinson, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks in five innings pitched. Kuehler recorded six strikeouts on the evening.

Duke jumped out to a 3-0 lead through the first two innings. Mooney singled up the middle to leadoff the game, before advancing to third on a groundout and wild pitch. Knight singled to right field to plate Mooney and give Duke the early lead.Â

The Blue Devils added two to their tally in the second inning. Senior
 Damon Lux walked to lead off the inning and moved around the bases before scoring on a wild pitch. Later in the inning, Pauley doubled to left center to plate rookieÂ
Devin Obee.

Duke looked to add to its tally in the fourth inning as it loaded the bases with two outs but was unable to score. The Blue Devils drew two walks and a hit by pitch in the inning but were unable to get a hit and add to its lead.

Campbell tied the game in the bottom of the fourth inning, 3-3, after a two-run home run by Drake Pierson. The Camels took a 5-3 lead in the next inning, plating two more runs on three hits in the frame.Â

The Blue Devils threatened again in the top of the seventh, loading the bases with one out via a hit and consecutive hit batters. SophomoreÂ
Luke Storm drew his 16th hit by pitch of the season, moving to tied for fifth in Duke history. Campbell escaped the jam, tallying two strikeouts after a pitching change.Â

The Camels added another run in the bottom of the seventh inning behind two hits and a wild pitch.

Duke left the bases loaded again in the eighth inning, the third time of the game. The Blue Devils hit a pair of two-out singles before walking to load the bases. Campbell got out of the inning unscathed with a fielder's choice.Â

Sophomore southpawÂ
Luke Fox entered in relief in the fifth inning to mitigate the damage. Fox was strong in his outing, surrendering just a flair to right field while fanning three in 1.2 innings of work.

Duke continues its five-game road stretch with an ACC series at Pittsburgh over the weekend. The Blue Devils and Panthers will open the series on Friday night at 6 p.m., at Charles L. Cost Field.Â
