DURHAM, N.C. –Duke head coach
Marissa Young has announced pitcher
Lillie Walker of Oklahoma to the 2019 signing class. Walker is among six incoming freshmen who signed a National Letter of Intent during the fall signing period.
Walker was a four-year letterwinner under coach Kerry Hallman, earning multiple honors during her career at Inola High School. As a senior, she was named All-District Pitcher of the Year and All-State Pitcher of the Year while she received the title of All-District Offensive Player of the Year as a junior.
A dual threat athlete, Walker finished her junior season with a 1.55 earned run average and 110 strikeouts while recording a .325 batting average. Walker improved on both sides of the ball in her final season, lowering her ERA to 1.09 with 163 strikeouts while hitting .363 at the plate.
On the travel ball scene, Walker was a pitcher and first baseman for Tulsa Elite OKC 02 Wells in 2018-19.
Aside from softball, Walker was a four-year member on the Inola basketball team where she notched all-conference honors during her junior campaign.
Off the field, Walker is a member of the National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes while serving as class secretary and a student council officer.
The daughter of Joe and Farrah Walker, Lillie Ruther Walker was born on May 10, 2002 in Tulsa, Okla. She has one younger sister, Brooke, who is 14.

"I started playing with my family in the front yard at a very young age. It's been a part of my life as long as I can remember."

"My favorite softball memory is pitching in the championship game at the IDT tournament in Colorado."

"The way you do anything is the way you do everything."
