DURHAM, N.C. – The 2020 Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Championship will be played at Karen Shelton Stadium on the campus of the University of North Carolina. The event, originally to be hosted by Duke University, remains scheduled for November 5, 6 and 8.
Â
Duke requested a change in host institution for the 2020 ACC Field Hockey Championship due to the proximity of the school's on-campus facility to a student residential area, providing significant challenges to maintain health and safety protocols for the multi-team event.

The ACC Field Hockey Championship will be played under the guidance of the current
Medical Advisory Group Report which calls for all team members in football, field hockey, men's and women's soccer and volleyball to be tested three times each week. The test administered the day before competition will be conducted by a third party, selected by the ACC Office.
