TRIO SELECTED INSIDE LACROSSE PRESEASON ALL-AMERICA
Junior attacker
Maddie Jenner, graduate attacker
Gabby Rosenzweig and graduate defender
Callie Humphrey were tabbed Preseason All-America selections by
Inside Lacrosse.
Jenner earned first team recognition in 2021 after being tabbed honorable mention last season, while Humphrey garnered third team honors for the third time during her Blue Devil career. Rosenzweig was selected to the third team for the second year in a row after receiving the accolade last year during her undergraduate career at Penn.
Jenner started all nine games for the Blue Devils at the draw in the shortened 2020 season. She tallied 96 draw controls, 21 points on 16 goals and five assists, four ground balls and three caused turnovers through the nine contests. The 6-2 attacker finished second in the country and led the ACC in draw controls per game with 10.67 and helped Duke rank first in the conference and third nationally in draw controls per game (18.78). Her 96 draw controls placed fifth in Duke history for a single season despite the shortened year.
Rosenzweig comes to Durham after spending four seasons at Penn and is enrolled in Duke's Fuqua School of Business Master of Management Studies Program. Last season, Rosenzweig was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List as she set Penn's career points record with 247. She started all five games and tallied 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points, five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
As a 5-6 defender, Humphrey started all nine contests last season for the Blue Devils and anchored the defense with 16 caused turnovers and 18 ground balls. She was named an Inside Lacrosse Media Third Team All-America honoree and recorded her best statistical performance of the 2020 season with a season-high five ground balls and four caused turnovers at William & Mary.
