Duke in the Preseason Polls
Earlier this week, the Blue Devils were tabbed the No. 15 team in the nation by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association preseason poll. Duke jumped up three spots from its final 2020 IWLCA poll before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Last week,
Inside Lacrosse announced its preseason division I rankings as Duke earned the No. 11 spot on the poll. Duke was one of seven ACC squads represented.

Jenner started all nine games for the Blue Devils at the draw in the shortened 2020 season. She tallied 96 draw controls, 21 points on 16 goals and five assists, four ground balls and three caused turnovers through the nine contests. The 6-2 attacker finished second in the country and led the ACC in draw controls per game with 10.67 and helped Duke rank first in the conference and third nationally in draw controls per game (18.78). Her 86 draw controls placed fifth in Duke history for a single season despite the shortened year.
Rosenzweig comes to Durham after spending four seasons at Penn and is enrolled in Duke's Fuqua School of Business Master of Management Studies Program. Last season, Rosenzweig was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List as she set Penn's career points record with 247. She started all five games and tallied 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points, five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
As a 5-6 defender, Humphrey started all nine contests last season for the Blue Devils and anchored the defense with 16 caused turnovers and 18 ground balls. She was named an
Inside Lacrosse Media Third Team All-America honoree and recorded her best statistical performance of the 2020 season with a season-high five ground balls and four caused turnovers at William & Mary.
Challenging Slate on the Horizon
Throughout 2021, the Blue Devils are scheduled to face six ranked opponents by the IWLCA. Duke will go up against No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 3 Syracuse, No. 12 Boston College, No. 16 Virginia and No. 18 Virginia Tech. The ACC landed seven teams on the poll to lead all conferences.
Three February Contests on ACC Network
The ACC Network has announced 16 men and women's lacrosse games will be broadcast on ACCN during the month of February and the Blue Devil programs will be featured a total of five times. The men will have two games broadcast, while the women will have three.
The No. 15 Duke women's lacrosse team makes its debut on the small screen Feb. 18 against William & Mary at Koskinen Stadium. Opening draw between the Blue Devils and Tribe will be 4 p.m. Three days later, Feb. 21, Duke welcomes ACC foe Virginia Tech for a 2 p.m., start.
Rounding out the coverage will be the Tobacco Road rivalry at North Carolina, Feb. 26. The draw is set for 6 p.m., in Chapel Hill.
The remainder of the ACCN regular season schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. In addition, ACCNX, ACCN's digital platform available on the ESPN App, will stream several men's and women's matchups throughout the season.
