Welcome Back Fans!
The Duke men's lacrosse team is excited to welcome fans back to Koskinen Stadium for the 2022 season. The Blue Devils are riding an 11-game home win streak after going 8-0 last season and will host 10 home games this season. Duke's last loss in Durham was Feb. 1, 2020 against Air Force.
Season and single games tickets are available for purchase. A season ticket package is $80 for all 10 home games. Single game tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth and senior citizens. Group tickets (10-plus individuals) are $4 for both the men and women.
Duke has six home games in February, one in March, two in April and one in May. The Blue Devils host North Carolina, Notre Dame and Virginia in ACC play.
Preseason Recognition
The Blue Devils come in at No. 3 in both the Nike/USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse media polls. Virginia and Maryland sit in the top two spots on both lists, respectively. Individually, a handful of Blue Devils garnered preseason recognition with six landing on the Inside Lacrosse teams and three on the USA Lacrosse Magazine squad.
Tyler Carpenter, Nakeie Montgomery and
Brennan O'Neill all were voted to both squads, while
Mike Adler, Jake Naso and
Kenny Brower picked up Inside Lacrosse accolades.
The ACC is set to release its preseason All-ACC teams and pick to win the conference in 2022 early next week. All five of the teams are ranked in each of the preseason top 20 polls
Joe Robertson Nearing 200
Graduate student attackman
Joe Robertson enters the 2022 campaign needing just 27 points to become the 14th Blue Devil to reach the benchmark. Robertson has 126 goals and 46 assists to his name and is poised to become the ninth Duke player since 2005 to reach the benchmark. Robertson has scored at least one point in 51 of his 53 games and has 26 career hat tricks. He is averaging 3.26 points per game for his career.
Mike Adler Back Between the Pipes
Veteran goaltender
Mike Adler is back for a second season between the pipes for the Blue Devils. In his first season at Duke, the Florida native amassed 162 saves in his 17 games and played 845 minutes to push his career totals to 588 and 2,915. He leads all current goaltenders in both categories and is on pace to move into the top 25 on the NCAA all-time charts.
He needs 144 saves – he is averaging 11.31 per game for his career – to sit in a tie for 25th place on the NCAA all-time list. Only three goalies in the 21st century have made more than 750 career saves.
After going the distance in nine games for Duke last season, Adler looks to add to his minutes total this season. He is just 385 minutes away from tying for 25th in NCAA history and 862 away from the No. 5 spot.
Classroom Success
The Blue Devils had yet another outstanding semester in the classroom this past fall. The team posted a 3.405 GPA with 48 players earning at least a 3.0 and 27 ending 2021 with at least a 3.5. It is the fifth straight semester Duke has posted at least a 3.4 team grade point average.
Ten current Blue Devils are pursuing their graduate degrees. Seven –
Cameron Badour, Nakeie Montgomery, Jack Frisoli, Jack Zukowski, Sean Lulley, Matt Chmil and
Gavin Lindsay – are working towards a Master of Management Studies degree from the Fuqua School of Business.
Joe Robertson and
Cameron Mulé are working towards a degree in the Masters of Liberal Arts program, while
Mike Adler is pursuing his MBA at Fuqua.
It will be Adler's second Duke degree after he garnered the MMS degree in 2021. Six overall will be earning a second Duke degree, while the other four are first-year graduate student transfers.
