DURHAM – The Duke women's lacrosse team will begin the season ranked No. 8 in the country, as announced in the ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll.
This season, the Blue Devils are scheduled to face six ranked opponents. Duke will go up against No. 1 Boston College, No. 2 North Carolina, No. 3 Syracuse, No. 5 Notre Dame, No. 11 Virginia and No. 19 Penn.

Kerstin Kimel returns 10 starters, including six graduate returners who will use their final year of eligibility granted by the NCAA due to COVID-19.

Caroline DeBellis all tallied 30+ points a season ago and combined for 175 points on the offensive front.

Maddie Jenner also returns in the draw circle. Last year, she tallied 187 draw controls to lead the ACC with 9.84/game and ranked third in the nation.
Duke opens the season Friday, Feb. 11 against Gardner-Webb at 6 p.m., in Koskinen Stadium. Season tickets are available for purchase
