DURHAM - The Duke swimming and diving program opens the 2022-23 road competition slate on Saturday, traveling to Wilmington, N.C. to take on the UNCW Seahawks at the David B. Allen Natatorium. The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m. and will be streamed on FloSports. The Blue Devils' women enter the meet 1-0 on the year, after defeating No. 24 Virginia Tech 183.5-116.5 on Oct. 22. The Duke men fell to No. 11 Virginia Tech 193-107 last Saturday at the Taishoff Aquatic Center.Â

NOTEABLES
- The Duke women lead the all-time series over the Seahawks 23-8, winning the past five meetings. On the men's side, Duke leads the all-time tally 21-12, winning the past 10 meetings.
- Freshman Kaelyn Gridley has the fastest 50 yard breaststroke split out of anyone in the NCAA this year, suited or unsuited.
- The Blue Devils collected four NCAA B-Cut times in the pool and posted six zone scores combined between the one-meter and three-meter diving events. Freshman Gridley and Martina Peroni collected three of the four B-Cuts, while Junior Sarah Foley gathered the other in the 200 yard breaststroke.
- Seniors Kate Mullin and Ali Watson, and freshman Josie Zillig all collected zone scores for the diving in the one-meter and three-meter boards.
- Duke signed the No. 7 recruiting class in the country on the women's side and were picked as the No. 20 team in the country by Swim Swam.
- Freshman Yannis Schattman posted a score of 403.28 in the three-meter dive to secure his first collegiate podium appearance.
- The men's 200 yard medley relay team of David Chang, Cole Reznick, Brad Sanford and Coleman Kredich will look to continue the strong start to the season this weekend, after a first place finish last week.
