DURHAM – Duke track and field gears up for its lone home meet of the regular season, as the Blue Devils get set to host the Duke Invitational April 7-9 at Morris Williams Stadium.
Live results will be provided via FlashResults while Friday and Saturday events will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra.

On Saturday at 2 p.m., the track and field team will recognize and celebrate its senior class for their contributions to the program. The 15-member class is comprised of eight women -

What to Watch
- Multis kick off the three-day meet Thursday afternoon with the women's heptathlon (12:30 p.m.) and men's decathlon (1:30 p.m.).
- The Blue Devils will feature four competitors across the two events – Zoe Hughes and Brianna Smith in the heptathlon, and Michael Bennett and Gage Knight in the decathlon. Thursday will mark Smith, Bennett and Knight's first multi-event of the outdoor season.
- Hughes will look to build off her last outing in the event (Texas Relays) when she totaled 5,402 points.
- Knight aims to break into the program record book in the decathlon. The sophomore was able to slot himself fifth all-time (5,466 points) at Duke in the men's heptathlon via a bronze-medal performance at ACC Indoors.
- Graduate student Erin Marsh and senior Isabel Wakefield are back in action this week as the duo prepares to take part in the women's long jump (4 p.m.), 100m hurdles (Saturday, 12:40 p.m.) and javelin (Saturday, 2 p.m.).
- Marsh owns Duke's No. 2 100m hurdle time (13.17 seconds) and is tied fifth all-time in the long jump (6.06m (19-10.75 feet)), while Wakefield set the program's third-fastest 100m hurdle time of 13.26 seconds at the Texas Relays.
- Payton Little kicks off Saturday's action-packed schedule in the women's discus at 9:30 a.m. Last weekend at the VertKlasse Meeting, the junior registered a personal-best throw of 42.55m (139-7 feet), slotting her into No. 5 all-time in program lore.
- Beau Allen looks to collect his third event win of the season in the men's high jump (12 p.m.). This past weekend, Allen leapt 2.15m (7-0.50 feet) which is tied for third all-time at Duke.
- Graduate student Lauren Hoffman will take the track for the 400m hurdles at 2:30 p.m.
- Last time out at the Texas Relays, Hoffman registered a new personal-best of 55.98 seconds, breaking her own school record for the second time in as many weeks.
- She ran 56.55 seconds in the final to finish as event runner-up, marking the third straight race in which she registered a faster time than what her school record was entering the 2022 outdoor campaign (56.98).
- The Duke men's quartet of Miles Mingo, Job Trahan, Alex Schwedt and Alejandro Rodriguez will take part in the 4x400m relay at 4:35 p.m.
- Mingo, Trahan and Schwedt were members of the squad that set the school record at the Texas Relays via a 3:09.21 finish.

Duke Notables
- The Duke women enter the meet sporting its highest ranking in program history as the Blue Devils checked in at No. 12 in the first USTFCCCA rankings of the outdoor season.
- Three Blue Devil women hold top-five national marks– Isabel Wakefield (second) and Erin Marsh (third) in the heptathlon and Lauren Hoffman (fourth) in the 400m hurdles.
Norm Ogilvie Retirement Recognition
A small ceremony recognizing former Duke Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Norm Ogilvie will be held on Friday, April 8th at 6:00 p.m. The distance running section of the event will be named for Ogilvie and he will be presented with a letterman's jacket, as well as a framed jersey.
Title IX Celebration
In honor of this being the 50th year of Title IX, Duke Athletics will co-host a Title IX Celebration with North Carolina Central University and youth groups on Saturday, April 9th from 9-11 a.m., prior to track & field's start of the Duke Invitational.
Registration is open from 9-9:45 a.m. at the baseball grandstand. Kids will play warm up games as they wait, including corn hole, Jenga and other yard games.
Duke Athletic Director
Nina King and NC Central Athletic Director Dr. Ingrid Wicker McCree will welcome everyone at 9:45 a.m., followed by a group picture at 10 a.m. and then the kids will run a lap around the track.
After that, the kids will head back to the baseball field for games and student-athlete speakers until 11 a.m. Following the conclusion of the event, kids are free to stay and watch the meet.
