CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Duke rowing team continued its fall campaign with a strong showing at the 58th Head of the Charles Regatta in Cambridge, Mass., over the weekend.

QUOTES
- "The race felt so good and I am so proud of how we performed. The conditions were tough with the weather, but we were able to turn it on and get the gold medal. We started 25th and ended up first, passing many boats and got the inside of every turn. I felt super grateful and honored to be a part of this boat, team and to be a Blue Devil this weekend. It was definitely a special weekend and Charles experience." - Sophomore coxswain Mia Khamish
- "Great to have a bigger squad back at the Head of the Charles. With our limited water time this fall, it was great to see our boats be able to compete with some great teams. I was super impressed with our Club Four, made up of four freshman rowers and a sophomore coxswain. The Champ Four and Champ Eight raced hard as well, but we have some work to do to finish the year strong. Everyone had fun and that's what fall racing is all about." - Head Coach Megan Cooke Carcagno
UP NEXT
- The Blue Devils wrap up fall racing in Charlottesville, Va., at the Rivanna Romp Head Race on Sunday, Nov. 12.
- Duke is set to make its 11th appearance at the annual event since 2006. Last season, the Blue Devils raced 11 boats, placing five in the top-10, including the Novice 8+ which claimed a first-place finish.
