DURHAM – The ninth-ranked Duke men's fencing team went 3-2 overall Saturday at the first day of the Duke Meet at Card Gymnasium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The ninth-ranked men collected wins over Brandeis (18-9), Johns Hopkins (17-10) and MIT (17-10) and fell to No. 4 Notre Dame (18-9) and No. 7 Penn State (17-10).
- Co-captain Terence Lee led the men's contingent with a 10-3 record as he went 3-0 against the No. 7 Nittany Lions as the saber squad went 3-2.
- Co-captain Finn Hossfeld tallied eight victories for foil while Stephen Kim (saber) and Allen Marakov (epee) added seven wins.
- The men's team now owns a season ledger of 13-8.

The 12th-ranked Duke women will close out the Duke Meet on Sunday beginning at 8 a.m.
