DURHAM, N.C. – Junior pole vaulter Megan Clark was selected as the 2015 ACC Women's Indoor Field Performer of the Year, as announced by Commissioner John Swofford Friday. The conference's head track and field coaches voted to determine the winners of each end-of-year award.
Clark capped her junior indoor season with the best performance of her career at the NCAA Indoor Championships, breaking her own Duke mark and tying the ACC record with a clearance of 14-9.00 (4.50) to take runner-up honors and first team All-America accolades in the women's pole vault. She became the first Duke women's pole vaulter to finish second at an NCAA Championship since Olympic pole vaulter Jillian Schwartz took silver at the 2001 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
The Fort Benning, Ga., native also produced a stellar performance at the ACC Championships, capturing gold in the event with a mark of 14-0.00 (4.27). Overall in 2015, Clark finished the season with four first-place finishes and three second-place performances, including wins at the Carolina Cup, Hokie Invitational and the Virginia Tech Challenge to go with her victory at the conference meet.

Clark and the rest of the Blue Devils will begin their outdoor campaign this weekend at the Carolina Relays in Chapel Hill, N.C.
