Duke Prepped for Raleigh Relays This Weekend

DURHAM, N.C. – With the 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays currently taking place, members of the Duke track & field team will also compete at the Raleigh Relays at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility March 29-30 in Raleigh, N.C.

Duke will be represented mainly by the distance squads as well as Blue Devil field performers.
Several Blue Devils will return to competition this weekend after opening the weekend at the High Point VertKlasse Meet.
On the men's side, Iyin Battle, Ben Beatty, Bryant Lewis, Miles Mingo, Sean Rafique and Benjamin Ross will compete for the second week in a row.
Battle is coming off a fourth-place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 55.91m while Lewis tied his personal-best clearance in the high jump (1.96m). Mingo competed in the 100m and 200m last week and will turn his attention toward the 400m Friday alongside Rafique.
The men's distance squad will compete for the first time this outdoor season. The men will also field three relays in the 4x1500m relay and two 4x800m relays.
Virginia Capehart, Simi Gbadegesin, Tracy Jander, Cassie Martin and Ashleigh Rodriguez will compete for the women for the second-straight weekend.
Martin posted a personal-best 1.71m clearance last weekend and in her Blue Devil debut, Rodriguez tossed the javelin 43.72m to take fourth overall.
