DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke volleyball team (9-11, 7-8 ACC) is set for its final weekend of the 2020-21 season as it will travel to Atlanta, Ga., for a pair of ACC contests in O'Keefe Gym. The Blue Devils will play No. 22 Notre Dame (12-3, 11-3 ACC) Friday, April 2 at 4 p.m. before a 2 p.m. match against No. 23 Georgia Tech (12-3, 12-3 ACC) on Saturday. Saturday's contest will be broadcast on ACCNX.
LAST TIME OUT
Duke went 0-2 over the weekend in Syracuse, N.Y., dropping two five-set matches. The Blue Devils fell to Wake Forest, 3-2 (21-25, 25-11, 19-25, 25-20, 13-15), Saturday before dropping another marathon match to Syracuse (25-19, 18-25, 17-25, 25-15, 12-15). Sunday marked Duke's fourth five-set match in five games.
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE SERIES
NOTRE DAME: Notre Dame leads the all-time series, 10-8, and have won the last two meetings. Most recently on November 29, 2019, the Fighting Irish took a 3-1 victory in South Bend. Notre Dame and Duke will be
closing the regular season against each other for the third consecutive campaign.
GEORGIA TECH: Saturday marks the 68th meeting between Duke and Georgia Tech as Duke holds a 45-22 lead in the all-time series. The Yellow Jackets have won the last two meetings and came away with a 3-0 sweep in Atlanta in 2019.
SCOUTING OUR OPPONENTS
NOTRE DAME: The Fighting Irish enter the weekend at 12-3 (12-3 ACC) and have earned victories in three of their last four outings. Notre Dame is led by Charley Niego who has earned a double-double in six of her eight outings. Niego has totaled 60 kills and 32 digs in her last three matches.
As a team, Notre Dame is hitting .249 percent and are fifth in the ACC. The Irish have also racked up 963 total digs to lead the conference and are fourth in total kills (777).
GEORGIA TECH: The Yellow Jackets are 12-3 entering the weekend and most recently swept NC State. Georgia Tech is led by Mariana Brambilla with 217 total kills as the squad leads the ACC with a .295 clip. The Yellow Jackets also rank third in the conference with 688 kills.

Duke has split time between two setters this season with junior
Alex Springate and sophomore
Camille Nazor. Springate has dished an impressive 499 assists for a 6.48 assist/set average while Nazor has 183 to her name.
This spring, Springate is averaging 27.6 assists/match. Springate tallied 40 assists versus Miami and 46 against No. 19 Pittsburgh.
