DURHAM – Duke track and field sophomore
Megan McGinnis has been crowned the ACC Women's Track Performer of the Week following several standout performances at the Mt. SAC Relays this past weekend.
McGinnis headlined the Friday performances at the Mt. SAC Relays as she posted a pair of event wins in the collegiate sections of the women's 200m and 400m dash, respectively. She opened her day in the 400m and put on a stellar display of running, clocking a personal best of 52.06 seconds to finish atop the 59-member field. Her time checked in at No. 7 nationally at the time of the race and currently ranks 21st in the NCAA, while also slotting herself No. 2 all-time in program lore.
Later in the day, she grabbed her second first-place finish in the 200m behind a dash of 23.16 seconds. On Saturday, McGinnis helped the women's 4x400m relay turn in a time of 3:29.19 – currently No. 6 nationally – which slotted them No. 2 all-time in program lore.
